Strategic Tokenomics Grounded in Real-World Analysis
I am Hilary Brown, Founder & Principal of GridEcon, and my practice brings disciplined analysis to each of these dimensions, ensuring that token designs are theoretically sound and practically sustainable. I help protocols and founders understand how business and operational decisions affect token value at Token Generation Events and post-launch.
In Web3, I've worked across the ecosystem with DePIN networks including Laconic Network and WingBits, token-based investment funds such as Purpose for Profit, and provided expert legal opinions for Loevy + Loevy on token-related matters. My work spans token design, economic modeling, mechanism design, and strategic advisory for projects navigating the complexity of aligning incentives, value accrual, and long-term network sustainability.
Before launching my tokenomics advisory practice in 2022, I accumulated over 15 years of analytical experience spanning Web3, traditional finance, insurance, and industrials. I hold an MBA from Georgetown University, and my valuation models and studies have been relied upon by corporations such as Stellantis and Embraer, international organizations including the World Bank, and reviewed by auditors and regulators such as the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero in Chile. My work has ranged from valuing complex assets like real options and biological assets to developing multivariate insurance pricing models and conducting international market entry analysis. This foundation has equipped me to manage the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of tokenomics with the rigor it demands.
